Terms of use

Effective 21 September 2026. These terms apply to clients and participants using Afritesting in Kenya.

1. What Afritesting is

Afritesting is a Kenya research recruitment service. We match screened participants with companies running interviews, usability tests and surveys. We do not run your research session for you, and we are not a survey mill.

By creating an account or paying for a study, you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy.

2. For participants

• You must be 18 or older and in Kenya.
• Keep one account. Use your real name, location, work, behaviours and National ID.
• Answer screeners honestly. Qualifying by guessing the “right” answer, or running duplicate accounts, can get you suspended.
• Show up for booked sessions. If you cannot attend, cancel in time so someone else can take the seat.
• Incentives are paid in KES via M-Pesa or bank after Afritesting confirms a valid completion. You are not paid only for qualifying.
• The research team may record a session. They should explain recording and use before it starts. You can refuse a recording and end the session.

3. For clients

• These terms cover your Afritesting workspace. Each study you submit is an order under this agreement, not a separate contract.
• Afritesting reviews audience, screener and pricing. Recruitment starts only after the brief is approved and payment is confirmed.
• The quote is for qualified completions. During the early service, we replace no-shows and people who fail the agreed screener at no extra recruitment fee.
• You run the research on tools you choose (Google Meet, Zoom, Figma, Typeform, and similar). You are responsible for recording consent, product access, and how you use session data.
• You receive the details needed to run the booked session. You do not receive the Afritesting panel as a database, National ID numbers, or payout details.
• Do not use Afritesting to market, recruit for jobs, or contact people outside the study you paid for.

4. Payment

Prices are in Kenyan shillings. There is no subscription. You pay the approved quote for that study. Quotes can change with session length and how specific the audience is. You see the amount before you pay.

5. Quality and suspension

We may refuse a study, hold or suspend an account, or withhold a payout if we reasonably believe there is fraud, a duplicate account, a screener mismatch, or a risk to participants or clients.

6. Liability

Afritesting’s responsibility for a study is limited to the amount you paid Afritesting for that study. We are not liable for the commercial outcome of your research, or for what happens on a third-party meeting or survey tool.

7. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If a court finds one part unenforceable, the rest still applies.
